How do I remove an object from a photo?
Upload a photo, paint over the object with the brush and click Remove object. In a few seconds the object disappears and the area is filled in to match the rest of the picture.
What can I remove from a photo?
Passers-by in the background, cables and wires, stains, scratches, date stamps, stray items on a table, signs and other distractions. It works best on objects surrounded by a background the AI can continue naturally.
How do I select the object precisely?
Change the brush size with the slider: a large brush for big objects, a small one for details. If you painted too much, switch to the Eraser to clean up the selection. Cover the whole object, including its shadow, for the cleanest result.
What if the result is not perfect?
Click Undo to go back a step, or simply paint over the remaining area and remove it again. Large or complex objects often look best when removed in a few passes.
Does the photo lose quality after removing an object?
No. Only the area you painted is changed - the rest of the photo stays pixel-for-pixel identical and keeps its original resolution.
Can I remove an object and then remove the background?
Yes. After cleaning up the photo, switch to the Remove background tab at the top of the editor - the background is removed from the edited photo, and you can replace it with a color, gradient or image.
